Cedar Park Lifts Mandatory Water Restrictions

As of December 2nd, the City of Cedar Park ceased mandatory water restrictions.

Cedar Park had entered Stage 2 of its Drought Contingency Plan on August 13th due to low water levels in Lake Travis, but thanks to recent rains and higher lake levels, the City’s ordinance no longer requires mandatory water restrictions.

The City has returned to Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan, which calls for voluntary compliance with the watering schedule. While mandatory restrictions have been lifted, city officials point out that water conservation remains a priority.
