Cedar Park Pool-A-Palooza Monday, May 31st

The City of Cedar Park will host its annual Pool-A-Palooza at Veterans Memorial Pool on Memorial Day.

Bring your friends and family to the event to kick off summer with live music, concessions, a cannon ball contest at 3 PM, and an air guitar contest at 5:30 PM. Gates open at noon and close at 8 PM.

  • Children, ages 3 and under: Free
  • Children, ages 4 – 8: $2

City of Cedar Park Closures - May 2010

If you’re planning to visit city offices in the next week or two, check your calendar first. Some city services will be unavailable on the following days:

  • May 19: The Cedar Park Library will be closed for staff training on Wednesday, May 19th from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. The Library will re-open at 1:30 pm.
  • May 21: The Municipal Court will be closed the morning of Friday, May 21st for staff training. The Court will reopen at noon that day.
  • May 31: All City offices, including the Cedar Park Rec Center, will be closed for the Memorial Day Holiday.

cedar park watering schedule

The City of Cedar Park is currently in Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan, which calls for voluntary compliance with the watering schedule. Here are some tips from the City on how you can help conserve water.

1. Follow the voluntary twice-a-week outdoor watering schedule:

  • Residential customers
    • Street address ending in a 0,2,4,6 or 8: Thursday and Sunday
    • Street address ending in a 1,3,5,7 or 9: Wednesday and Saturday
  • Commercial customers
    • -All addresses: Tuesday and Friday

2. Avoid outdoor watering between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Check out the Cedar Park Heritage Festival this Saturday. The Heritage Festival will kick off with a parade at 1 PM located at Heritage Oak Park.

Additional festival events will begin at 4 PM at Milburn Park and will feature live music and dance by AC Bible & Band and Jason Allen.  The Heritage Festival will also include the Championship Hamburger Cook-off, a washer tournament, an arts & crafts fair, pony rides, carnival games, photos, a petting zoo, inflatables, train rides, historical displays, demonstrations, sack races, stick horse rodeo, corn on the cob eating contest, and much more.

The City is also holding a Cedar Park Heritage Festival Poster Contest for K-5th graders.  Winners will be awarded a gift certificate and be announced at the Cedar Park Heritage Festival, and their artwork will be displayed at the Cedar Park Rec Center.
