Chinati Court Residents Light Up for Charity

Last Year's Holiday Light DisplayAnnual Display of Holiday Lights in Cedar Park Benefits Williamson County Brown Santa Program

For the eleventh year in a row, residents on Chinati Court in Cedar Park have decorated their homes and neighborhood with elaborate Christmas light displays. And for the seventh year, they will also help light up children’s faces by collecting toys for the Williamson County Brown Santa program.

The Chinati Court Brown Santa toy drive began on Sunday, November 21st. Each night from now through Christmas, Chinati Court will be lit up with Christmas lights, with a roaring fire pit and hot chocolate for sale on Friday and Saturday evenings. Residents collect toy donations for Williamson County Brown Santa at the light display. Last year, Chinati Court raised $2,700 to purchase toys for Brown Santa to distribute to children in need.

Chinati Court is located just off Sun Chase Blvd. in the Ranch at Cypress Creek community in Cedar Park. If you plan to visit, you can park on Sun Chase and walk to Chinati Court to view the display.  Stop by and check out the lights, and bring a toy or buy some hot chocolate to help make the holidays brighter for children throughout Williamson County.

Directions: Take Cypress Creek Road to Sun Chase Blvd. near Cedar Park Middle School.  Go North on Sun Chase, past Elizabeth Milburn Park, Autumn Fire Dr., and Del Norte Cove.  Chinate Court is the next right.

County Judge Dan A. Gattis issued a burn ban for all of Williamson County as of 1:30 p.m. November 24. The ban will remain in effect until further notice.

The burn ban prohibits residents from burning any combustible material “outside of an enclosure which serves to contain all flames and/or sparks, or orders such burning by others.” Williamson County residents may not burn household yard waste, such as leaves, grass, brush and other yard trimmings. The ban also prohibits burning to clear land of trees, stumps, shrubbery, or other natural vegetation.
